The Black Cat has also acquired several devices from
the Tinkerer that increase her agility and heighten her strength. She wears
earrings that interact with the balance centers of her brain to grant her
enhanced agility. She has contact lenses that let her see in various ranges of
the electromagnetic spectrum, such as infrared and ultraviolet. Her costume
contains micro-servos that enhance her strength above normal human levels. The
gloves of her costume contain steel micro-filaments, which form retractable
claws at the fingertips when she flexes her fingers (triggering a magnetic
surge which condenses the filaments into polarized talons) which enable her to
tear through most surfaces and easily scale walls. In addition, the costume is
extremely distracting and provocative (due to its skin-tight shape and plunging
v-neck that exposes her cleavage), which can make it difficult for a male
assailant to concentrate on what he is doing. Using this equipment, the Black
Cat has been able to beat enemies who have superhuman abilities.
One might say ethical integrity is based on
individuals, and another might say it is based on the upper level management in
a company. Either way, one thing ethical business men will agree on is that ethical
integrity can be the foundation for success in a company. The terms
"ethical integrity" are words that are used to characterize a company
as a whole, because it is applied to a company on every level. If a business
plans to have longevity it must appear to be ethical in the eyes of the
consumer, because if it doesn't the company can quickly come to an end.
Although ethical integrity is a simple concept to understand it is a very new
phrase derived from the concept of business ethics which surface around the
1970s. Understanding the concept of ethical integrity is understanding the
concept of business ethics on an individual basis. One must understand that
although ethical integrity is a new concept, it has been around as long as
there has been business. A recent example of the lack ethical integrity is the
Ponzi scheme created by Bernard "Bernie" Madoff in the late 20th
century which created 18 billion dollars in losses to millions of investors. In
the world we live in we can clearly see the need for ethical integrity through
the recent example above, but we must also understand that it is an individual
choice.
Peter Shaffer's Amadeus is a 1984 musical film
directed by Miloš Forman and written by Peter Shaffer. Adapted from Shaffer's
stage play Amadeus, the story is based loosely on the lives of Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart and Antonio Salieri, two composers who lived in Vienna, Austria, during
the latter half of the 18th century. The film was nominated for 53 awards and
received 40, including 8 Academy Awards (including Best Picture), 4 BAFTA
Awards, 4 Golden Globes, and a DGA Award. In 1998, the American Film Institute
ranked Amadeus #53 on its 100 Years. 100 Movies list. Flanagan's work with a
group of disadvantaged and delinquent boys in a home that he founded and named
"Boys Town". It stars Spencer Tracy as Father Edward J. Flanagan, and
Mickey Rooney, Henry Hull, Gene Reynolds, Edward Norris, and Addison Richards.
Although the story is largely fictional, it is based upon a real man and a real
place. Boys Town is a community outside of Omaha, Nebraska. Father Flanagan
believes there is no such thing as a bad boy and spends his life attempting to
prove it. He battles indifference, the legal system, and often the boys
themselves, to build a sanctuary which he calls Boys Town. The boys have their
own government, make their own rules, and dish out their own punishment. One
boy, Whitey Marsh (Mickey Rooney) is as much as anyone can handle. His brother
is in prison for murder, and Whitey himself is a poolroom shark and sometimes a
hoodlum. Father Flanagan takes him to Boys Town. Whitey runs away three times,
the third time because he hears his brother has escaped. Whitey joins his
brother, but Father Flanagan rescues Whitey and helps capture the gang in the
act of robbery. Whitey and Father Flanagan return to Boys Town.
